FÖRENINGEN ÄR VILANDE

Ända sedan starten 2004 har vi märkt att det finns ett stort intresse och stöd för en svensk-amerikansk vänskapsförening, och för att lyfta fram amerikanska idéal i Sverige. Men tyvärr räcker det inte med glada tillrop för att driva en förening.

Svensk-amerikanska förbundet har sedan 2007 saknat regelbunden verksamhet och det beror i huvudsak på att vi har saknat människor som vill engagera sig i föreningen. Därför har styrelsen beslutat att från den 1 januari 2010 ska Svensk-amerikanska förbundet vara vilande.

Om seriöst intresse finns för att starta verksamhet på nytt kan ni kontakta Andreas Braw, som var t.f. ordförande för föreningen vid årsskiftet 2009/10. Tack för visat intresse.

Ever since we started the Swedish-American Association in 2004, we have noticed that many have had a great interest in and support of a Swedish-American friendship association. We know that many wish to support our aim to put American ideals forward in Sweden. But unfortunately it is not enough having people that are positive to run an organization.

The Swedish-American Association has lacked regular activity since 2007, and that is essentially because we have lacked people who want to get involved in the organization. Therefore, the board has decided that from 1 January 2010, the Swedish-American Association will be set to a resting status.
